Ok I want to hook my tv upto my computer so I can see the computer through the tv, my graphics card came with an S-video cable but its for some reason extremely short so I went out and bought a new 12 Ft. one but when I turn the tv to the S-video input channel nothing comes up, am I doing something wrong, do I need any software to do this with, my card is an Nvidia GeForce 57000 LE.

Thanks

you have to go to your display settings and change it to S-Vid

right click your desktop -> properties -> Settings tab -> Advanced button

usually that's how you do it good luck

My sig is too big! It must be below 600x120... thanks!

Got the right drivers? My Radeon drivers installed a panel in the advanced options of display settings.

Are you sure you can't do that? Make sure your drivers are updated and setup correctly... You should be able to do that.

Sigs blow.

Hey hey hey, I found it, it was in my thingy under the quick start bar.

One more question though, why does it look so crappy?

you have to use the adaptor provided and get an extended rca cable from the adaptor.

some svideo adaptors are specific to the output plug like on my macs.

just buy a male female yellow rca cord and plug it into the back of the adaptor.

Lower your resolution... TV's are much lower then a PC screen.

try detecting the displays once its connected or mess around with the device settings. it should work, perhaps the drivers need an update as well.

i had a tnt2m64 riva that was a bit of a hassle to get onto the tv but after a driver adaptor nudge it worked well.

on older tvs red will bleed into other colours usually with tv out so dont expect it to be as crisp as your monitor.

I already updated everything, and the T.V. is a new flatscreen, I just want to know how to make the computer display on the tv and the computer at the same time.

Unless your tv is a high defenition tv, the resolution that it displays in is 320x240, so it will never look clear.

My card is setup to output videos as fullscreen at 640x480 resolution to my tv, the secondary output. I can still work on my normal monitor at 1600x1200 just fine. My s-video cable is also about 30ft long.

640x480, HD is something by 1080. I dont have and HD tv, but at 480 my picture is crystal clear, even text.

It's certainly possible, my brother has his PC hooked up to his TV through a scart adapter - I've even gotten my 5200 to show the PC output and TV output at the same time (although a bit slow on my PC).
