I am trying to make a first person shooter game, however i have two problems which are delaying progress. THese problems are:-

1. Monster ai, i want my monster to charge the player when they are within a certain distance. I know how to use the equation to work out the distance between two objects, its just i the point the object towards the player and then tell it to move towards the player using newxvalue(etc...) but it then just goes forwards and the off of the matrix.

2. I have made a matrix using MatEdit however i don't understand how i import my matrix into DB. Could someone be kind enough to explain the process in detail because i just don't get it.

Cheers

BTW I'm using DBC
