Just go to your profile, then u see there link: User/forum profile and then after u click on this then u see 2 tabs: General and Forum.
Click on 'Forum' and u will see line: 'Your Own Avatar:' and after this in text box enter URL to your avatar pic, example: http://www.mysite.com/newavatar.jpg
