The Playstation 3 will have a 128-bit Cooperative-Processor (not the official term, but I think it describes it better), 128MB RAM, BluRay Technology and the same damn joypad that is loved and hated the world over.
It'll keep 2 controller and memory card ports (because lets face it, it's basically a trademark, and I think they build them like that). It won't have a UMD Disc Reader built-in, but will have a USB attachment for it.
There will be no built-in Wireless networking, but there will be a built-in Broadband (ethernet) connection. I can forsee them in introducing a wireless Ethernet Adapter though. (which would be very useful)
No internal Hard Disk as standard (Sony have been very clear on this)
It'll have the most powerful next generation graphics card.
Rumours are that while the NV50 is complete for testing, that Sony deliberately want it redesigned post ATI R520 press release.
It's only a rumour, but is quite a sound judgement. It is likely the PS3 will be the most powerful nexgen. Thing is though, while it keeps it's compatibility for old title (even PS titles) the fact will remain that the X-Box is now top-dog according to the last few months sales. Nintendo are still last, and quite frankly they don't seem to care. They're making a huge profit, so in the end everyones a winner.
Rumour about the Nintendo Revolution is that the controller is 100% touch-screen based.
Quite an exciting rumour if true, but also an unnerving one. I mean how would you tell what button is press and how hard you've pressed? Meh.
Should be a very good E3 at the end of the month.
