Well for what I can see, i need this file to get my 5.8 dbpro update working. I tried to get it off microsoft but it says my os is not compatible when it does an os check. But I have windows xp pro and its a completely legit copy.

Is there another place to get this file?

Thanks as always,
Apolloed

As far as I know you don't need the SDK to run 5.8, just the runtime.

Nope---- MS requires a valid Windows check and you'll have to find the file elsewhere if you want to download it.

well is there a way to downgrade back to 5.7 then? Because I would hate to lose all my projects and the valid check wont work for some reason.

Wouldn't uninstalling and reinstalling DBP downgrade it?

Use Firefox and skip the OS check. It should be optional (except I bet IE forces you through it).

ie doesnt force you - it gives you a radio box to tick, if you tick the wrong one and it decides that your copy isn't legit then you'll probably never be able to download it

Don't you just extract it to the default directory then run the setup wizard it extracts? atm you may have a bunch of setup files littering system32

Facts are meaningless.
You could use facts to prove anything that's even remotely true.
