When I click post a message it doesn't do anything! Is it a problem on my end or the forum?

A problem on your end I suspect, since the forum does support FireFox.

I had the same problem a couple of months ago. Other than that, it was OK:

It wasn't locked when I tried, either. (It is now, because no-one replied to it)

Strange it just won't work for me. Although it did work before. I updated firefox to 1.0.2 maybe it's that? All the other buttons work including the browse attachment button but not the post one. Weird.

Aha. I had the same problem with 1.0.1, then I updated to 1.0.2 and it worked again. Then it stopped again a few days ago.

It seems that clearing the cache works
