I keep getting an error message saying
"Hey Noob- turn you Caps Lock off - NOW"

Can anyone explain why and how to avoid it?

it's a popup on a site or a virus, disable pupups in your browser/get a popup blocker or get some antivirus software and antispyware software like avg7 or sbybot-s&d.

No, it's actually this site telling you not to create a new thread in ALL CAPS LIKE THIS.

But I didn't create such a thread or a post. I only used capitals at the start of sentences or when highlighting DBC's commands like LOCK OBJECT ON

Test: Does LOCK OBJECT ON work?

It seems that 'reasonable' usage of Caps is still allowed.

I just get
Quote: "TURN YOUR CAPS LOCK OFF
"

Without the "n00b" part. Maybe that's because I've been here over a year. Nice one, Rich!

Holy crap, I haven't got a caps lock. Although there is a key with a padlock on it, looking very suspicious to say the least.
