I just purchased DBP and I am quiet frankly overwhelmed by all the new commands. I know there are tutorials but there are so many to choose from. I Really don't know where to start on .dll's (I have dev C++). And I know there are many easy applications for lightmapping, does that mean you need seperate applications for bump mapping, rainbow mapping, ect...

u should be able to do bump and rainbow mapping in DBP

DBPro supports both of those,I don't know about DBC. As for tutorials I'd suggest Santa's MineSweeper tut http://www.atnasonline.com/ for starts. Check out the Limit Rush and 3D Monster Hunt tutorials on TGC and the stickies at the top of the nwcomers section have a lot of good links. Please note I assumed you know nothing about programing so I apologize if these are a little noobish for you.
