Are there any samples of how to create player movement to mimic the old 'DOOM' style movement?

Specifically I have developed a game that I would like to make seem more real. It currently has the 'player' walking straight, in first person view, the player does not move up or down, or have a bit of a roll to him at all.

Inside DOOM or Quake and more FPS games, if you are in first person view, your view moves around. Simulating actually human movement.

Thanks for help.

, you can do something like move the camera left/right as the player moves forward. Another thing you can do is move the gun around as the player moves. There's some code about that in codebase.

I had scanned the code quite a bit and come up with some code but not what I was looking for. I did it myself, but have some issues, as I am not good yet with this language. (DBPRO) All I ended up with is the player moving up and down, but the player didnt stay on the ground if the ground went down into a dip, I am still trying.

Off topic, what line of code do I insert to keep DBPRO full screen from shutting down when I alt tab over to windows then back to the game?
