Say I wanted to, for example, make a program that would load matrix data out of an ini or txt file. How would I do this? I've seen examples, but they're all pretty vague. The thing I have trouble with is, how do I know what I'm reading and from where in the file I'm reading it when I use the read commands? I've looked for commands on moving through the file in the DB manual, but I can't find any.

If you want to load stuff from an .INI and you've got DBPro then I've got a plug-in for that. You'll be able to know where your reading stuff from because you have to specify section and lines...

Aside from that you generally know what your reading from the header text and you can tell where you are in a file by keeping some sort of count.

Good news everyone! I really am THAT good...
