Basically im making a fps game, and when the enemy gets close the cube that i have below the camera it shows a sprite that is coloured red. What i want to know is, how do i make the sprite show then hide..because it just appears and stays there at the moment.

Thanks

there might be a glitch if it only flashed. but just to be sure, did you tell it to show the sprite, wait, then hide it again? your code could help me to help you some more.

sorry for that. tell it to wait then put a number after it than tell it to hide it for example.
show sprite 1
wait 2000
hide sprite 1

Wait...it works but it creates amazing lag...the FPS goes right down to 0. How could this be fixed?

Thanks

"wait" just stops everything in the game for that long. Look into the timer() function.
