Instead of programming the AI for the enemies in my game, can I just animate my characters in Milkshape or something, which would be how the enemies react, and then can I just code something so that if player1 is, lets say 50 units away from the enemy then I'd make a code to load the player animation... Can I do that or something? Or would I still need to make some AI for the character for him to shoot? Thanks for all your help, if you do help me!

Surely that is a type of very basic AI? Determining what the enemy does depending on it's distance from the player. As well as loading the animation you would have to make some code to fire some enemy bullets, or do whatever the attack is to hurt the player.

You can do whatever you can code.

Well actually, I think I can do that stuff, if i get a version of DB that dont expire (my demo for DBP and DB have expired, but version 1.06 of DB dont expire when the trial is over). So, i think i can do that. In fact, I can!
