David Tennant... Hopefully, he'll be good.
Filming starts in the summer and for 13 epsiodes, so it appears that the BBC didn't really want to shell out for a complete series, which in turn may mean that they are hoping to quietly get rid of it again...

it's a shame the current doctor isnt doing more than one series

There's nothing wrong with watching Harry Potter if you can carry your argument well enough (reading is fine because it requires a little bit of intellegence, which 75%+ of the inhabitants of the UK dont )

I think I know more ppl over 20 that watches harry potter than kids. Personally, I never cared for it. I don't think it sucked, its just too much for kids for my taste. That, and after watching it I had that word "ridiculous" stuck in my head for weeks.

The films are average, but they suck unbelievably compared to the books. If you've seen, and disliked the films (or one of them for that matter), do not take them as an accurate representation of the books. And don't be one of those people who badmouth the books while not even being able to name the title of one.

However, as with everything, they may just not be to some peoples' tastes.

Lol, I agree, and I find it hillarious when people use txt spk in online messaging. It's understandable in texts when you have limited space, but as if it'd take that much longer to find the "h" key when writing "wat".

So true! The film didn't do justice to the masterpiece that was Prisoner of Azkaban

Also, what happened to continuity? It seems Hagrid's hut has just moved over a ravine to another part of the castle.

Facts are meaningless.
You could use facts to prove anything that's even remotely true.

The director changed in the third film, that's why a lot is different. To be honest, I think the third film is way better then the previous two, and the new Dumbledore is more like I imagined him to be (not being disrespectful to Richard Harris). Although I'm not really that fanatical about the films, so I'll stop before I write 20 pages on what they could've done better .

The new director modified the sets quite a bit. I found them to be a lot more cinematically engaging, so to speak, but it's less true to the books.

I was ASTONISHED and I mean ASTONISHED when the BBC rejected my personal application to be the new Doctor.

My friends reckon its something to do with the fact that I wrote it in crayon and half of it was a 200 word long repetition of the word "monkey!"

But I doubt that. My acting talents ... still unrecognised.
