I just want to know how many people would be intrested, if enough people (like 5 or more) are intrested, then I will think everything out completly and make it as best a deal as i can without completly ripping myself off... I am thinking that the price will be around $4.95

Price seems fair to me, but I'd rather have less for free (www.dbspot.com), + I'm pretty sure this counts as advertisement, as long as you're only asking about teh price you think you should have

Tainer your missing some points on how to sell it.

like for example, where is it hosted? any ip to do a traceroute? what backbones does it use? you may want to offer more subdomains for the money and maybe more email addresses.

looks a good deal imo, but i would like to know about it before saying any more

I may be misunderstanding here, but how can you have ASP (a Windows only technology) with Shell Access? Either windows server 2003 does something very cool with multiuser access, or there's a stable (not mono) ASP engine for *nix. I'm sure there are secure shell daemons for windows, but would it be geared up for multi user in the same way as a BSD/Unix box?

Like I said, I could be misunderstanding...

He made a post about webhosting not a website like there rule state's, either he didn't break any rule, or tgc should update there rule's page to inclued post's about offering hosting. imo

actually i have thought some more stuff through,
How about if it was UNLIMITED webspace and UNLIMITED bandwith and 10 subdomains? and as for the windows or *nix server, im not sure about that yet...

one question: why would we want to pay $5 or whatever when we can get the same thing (and a good laugh) at jimmy's dbspot? If I were you I'd be watching out for trout headed your way

Last I heard dbspot doesn't offer ASP, but what do I know.

$5 sounds cheap, but I really don't see how the cheap and free webhosts can last. It costs real money for bandwidth!

Its actually quite possible with reselling. I have seen some hosts that sell reseller accounts for like $10-$15 /month. So It allows that reseller to sell each account for like $2/mo if they really wanted to. I have no idea how the server owner can afford it, but hey...who cares?
