Hello.. I think i have found the right college.. Full Sail... but it's very expensive and i have to admit.. My family is Poor. I get disability checks in the mail every month and I will recieve financial aid and i got a Pell grant but i dont know if thats all going to cover that 60,000 + God knows what else on the Game Development courses.. I dont know but I think I'm in need of a big scholarship if anybody has gone through this situation before i need advice on how to go about getting a scholarship within one month or less because thats when I will be moving to Orlando Florida and hopefully attending that college and following my Dreams
Thank you
Peace

I wouldnt go to Full Sail, and I live 25 miles away from Orlando. If you go for Game Design eventually, some of your classes will be from 1 am to 5 am in the morning... then you might have another class that day. I have heard horror stories that people graduate and cant find a job in there field (Be prepared to move again for a job). Also once you get a degree in game design and you find out its to stressful or something and you would like to do something else, you would have to go back to school for another 2-4 year degree. Because a Full Sail degree is not well rounded like many regular college degrees (Computer Science degree).

I agree with Skeletor--- nothing beats a real University degree.

Game companies are looking for people with a Bachelor's degree or above from a traditional University plus game programming/designing/etc experience.
