Fings I hate too...

Football boot laces.
Rusty egg-whisks.
The sun shining on my face.
The wind blowing on my face.
Lightning striking my face (that's 3 times now dagnabbit!).
Weather.
My frontal lobes.

You've just reminded me. I'm assuming, being Scottish, you wouldn't actually say "fings", so I can rant away......

I actually hate people who can't articulate the word "three" and say "free" ... I once knew someone who said "vuh" instead of "the" and it pushed me over the edge, it really did.

Me? With my reputation?

1/ The little jaggy bits down the side of my nail that I can never break off without taking a thin bit of skin with it.
2/ Neds
3/ People driving at 5 miles per hour in front of me quite blatently blethering to the person next to them or folk trying to juggle mobile phones whilst pulling out from junctions in front of me.
4/ Going somewhere that should be a scene of natural beauty, only to see Mcdonalds bags, fag packets and tins of juice covering the land.
5/ When the little plastic bits on shoe laces or hooded top string wears off and the end comes undone
6/ Cycling really fast as a bug coming the other way decides to fly for your eyeball.
7/ River City

Hehe, yeah I doubt I've ever actually said Fing. Not that I'm a snob or anything like that, Scots just have different approaches to slang and the like. We'd actually be more likely to replace Things wit 'Hings', which is also a variant of 'Hangs'. The most annoying hing like this has to be the Londoners mangling of the word 'nothing', they went from 'Nothing' to 'Nuffink' - which takes longer to say!, we'd say 'Nu-hing', like 'Thirs nu-hing rang wi cheese' translates into 'There's nothing wrong with cheese' - a whopping 4 letters mangled outta that sentence .

That's the thing (hing), we drop letters to make words quicker and save time when arguing with people or to save money on phone calls - to be honest I find cockney rhyming slang just arrogant, outdated and pointless.

Wow some people here are big-ass whiners. I swear I just read a complaint about cities being too "big", litering, language accents, little kids, and their nails.

what i meant about "Big cities" is that they are confusing, and noisy, and dirty.
and if you are not bugged by little kids... you obviously dont have six siblings...

Dude, don't say that. Not when the time is almost here. And you never know, Jar Jar might get killed.

BTW Chode, I see you joined today. So are you Chode, or rather someone else we all actually know here, but couldn't actually take the heat under their own name?

And say "LOTR movies". Dissing the books is like evil or something. Apart from the annoying poems and songs. And the fact that Bilbo takes like forever to f**k off in the beginning. And that stupid Irish music all the time (books will never be the same). And that kinda "not just friends" under feeling between Sam and Frodo which ran through the whole of the last book (and in parts of the others), which is magnified 10 times in the movies, but is even noticed when I was 9 years old. A**e....

Cheers

I was standing behind a bloke in a bakers in Dundee and he said,
"Al huv a mince peh 'n' an ingin in an aw"

Translation:
"Ill have a mince pie and an onion one as well"

It gets scarier the closer you get to Aberdeen

I COMPLETELY agree! Most from the south east I find - it drives me crazy when it starts to leak into typing and MSN (sumfin).

So my updated top 5 things are

- People who can't pronounce "th"

- Anime

- People who enlessly quote from 70's cult TV shows (no, I can't care about hte A-Team either...)

- Annoying people who ask ENLESS questions. "How can I do xyz in PHP". "I don't understand" "I can't use your snippet, it just crashes" "Can you write it for me" "I keep getting this error " (5 mins later) pleeeeeeeeasse help me"

- Linux fanboys (the ones who use windows. I have great respect for those people who actually run linux)

Facts are meaningless.
You could use facts to prove anything that's even remotely true.

Or my standard list
- Perrier
- Daylight
- Responsibility
(Thanks, Derek W Dick)

Actually it's only one thing

1. People that find a new hobby and talk about nothing else for the next week, then find another new hobby.

2. Being asleep when I should be working.

3. Not being able to get to sleep when I want to.

4.Making toast and then finding out there's no buter.

5.People who say things are stupid without knowing anything about them (I've told plenty of people I spend my time coding and often hear the re-ply "that's stupid.")

6.People who don't have their own opinion.

7.People that go on about politicians lying, it's not like you'd vote for them if they told the truth.

8.Waking up at 3pm and realising how much of my day off I've wasted.

9.People that don't realsie just how many people don't have acccess to bradband.

10.Tests

11.People that use the word "gay" to offend people.

12.Films on t.v. that don't have ad breaks.

13. <- That number

14.The one week mark. If I begin to code a game, for the first week I'll be super enthusiastic but after that I go into 'drip' mode, hence the fact I've never finished more than one game.

15.People that think football is the only sport worth playing, and everyone enjoys playing it.

16.People that blame McDonalds for eveything. Here's a tip, if you don't want to be fat EAT LESS PIES.
