Perhaps the forum policy should be in bigger letters - it under the 'Post Forum Message' box

or here : http://www.thegamecreators.com/?gf=aup

Quote: "then it got locked for god knows what reason"

Because its no point moaning about something being locked.

ok now i will bring this up,on a post i asked why i was banned for advertising my website i found out why and then read the forums rules and they CLEARLY say
Quote: "Don't post just to advertise a website unless it is on-topic"
get that? ON-TOPIC. my site AND post was completely on topic it was about games and all other game related topics i said that in another post but a mod saidit was off topic but i dont see why its off topic can someone help me with this WITHOUT locking it and if you think im spamming, im really not trying to and if you think i am ill just stop talking abou this and erase this post.

It was on topic with itself, i suggest someone ammend the AUP to be more specific. Maybe saying that it has to on-topic with a post not started by a link or some such. Also if you want to argue that urls should not be posted if they serve no community purpose...what about that fridge magnet one? Not that I mind, but it seems mods like to pick and choose when to use the AUP to back up a lock.

As long as its in moderator-specified dimensions and does not do anything dodgy.

Quote: " Hi,

After some discussion the mods have reached an agreement on an acceptable signature size.

We think 600 pixels by 120 pixels is a reasonable size to play with - so if any of you have sigs that are much bigger than that it'd be a big help if you could resize them.

Thanks "

Learn what ftp is, and use it.

Seriously, going on this long about such a simple problem? By (google.com) I mean learn to search for things on your own rather than have everyone give it to you. Independance is the key to development.

Metal Artz, whatever is the index.html is what comes up whenever you go to http://yourname.dbspot.com. You can make these pages with whatever as long as you get an html file out of it without compatibility junk (like geocities or the offline page editor). You make a page offline, then upload it using an FTP program, or the one that Jimmy has on dbspot.
Here's a nice program: http://www.nvu.com

Like Apolloed said though, this information is easily accessible via a quick search on google or even the forum search features.
