I have a game that I've been thinking about 4 a month now... It's called snow War. Now I need some opinions here. NOw, should it be a 1st person shooter, or a 4 directional birds eye view where u shoot towards the mouse-controlled target. I think the 2nd approach would be challenging, but more fun 2 play when it's finished. But that's my opinion...
Now, what do u think?

i think that's a great idea. very original. i would go for the birds eye view one, because that would make it more different and interesting. i say go for it.

I think you should code both, and take the one that's the best (most acurate/better overvieuw/userfliendly)

please reply

I typically don't find FPSs that try to be funny rarely funny at all. Third person is nice because you can make a goofy looking character the player has to stare at while they play, I would go for third person if I were you, but add a crosshair so you can see where you're aiming. First person for special weapons always works good though (sniper scopes, RPGs, or maybe cannon-like turret things).

hmm, De ja vu... check out this game over at another thread. It's not snow fight related but has the same control scheme as your second approach does. Test it out.
