Hey, I seem to be having probolems with WMP ( Windows Media Player ) The probolem is this.

I am running WinXP SP2 and when I minimize the WMP window it make the program box ( Bar at the bottom ) go to to rows.

It Never used to do this. For you people who dont know what it is suposed to do, It suposed to tutrn into a little silver Diolouge in the program bar with player controls on.

It has been happening for a while now. But I cant figure it out.
I have scanned my Hole PC with Norton, SpyBotS&D, Lavasoft but There is no virus.

Its not to do with the amount of programs at the bottom becuase I have tried it with just WMP yet it still makes it jump two a seccond row.

If you can help me please do

Many Thanks
-Eddie

Right-Click on your Task Bar... Scroll to Toolbars > then click on Media Player.

Not sure why it'd turn itself off, but that's how you switch it. As the little animation that came up everytime you didn't have it on and minimised Media Player 9 Beta would quite happily tell you.

Personally I don't like it on the task bar as it has a habbit of hanging mid-operation then affect the volume with my mouse. So you have to wait while it self-corrects itself, mean while tinkering with your daily tasks and hearing your music as if someone has a stereo on as your going around on a tilt-o-whirl. Not fun!

Your signature has been erased by a mod. Please resize it to under 600x120. Thanks!

The WMP player when minimized will create a 'toolbar' in the taskbar. This will work the same way as a quick launch bar or desktop toolbar in the taskbar. Simply move the dividers to where you want the WMP bar to go to. Eventually after you move the splitters the WMP bar will be in line with the stuff in the taskbar.

right click and unlock the toolbar(click on lock toolbar)

Part of solving the problem is actually noticing that the problem is there in the first place
