im using explosion textures on a plain and when i use it normally you get a black square with an explosion in the middle and when i ghost the plain you cant see the black good but you cant see much of the explosion either. How do i get it so you see the explosion but not the black outline

make sure black is completely black(not compressed) and use set object transparency or set object

Part of solving the problem is actually noticing that the problem is there in the first place

Here's the key to eliminating the black outlines:

set object transparency objnum, 4

Thanks G Man, that helped me with a problem in my own program also.

The help file for "set object transparency" only talks about the flag value of 0 or 1, where did you learn about using 4?

reading the logs for updates probably.. There is a 5th flag now if i'm not mistaken..
