i would like to know if "the beginners guide to darkbasic programming" is any useful. if you have any opinions or recommendations or anything to tell me about this book, please do so.

If you don't have any or very little programming experience it's helpful. Otherwise, you'd be best to just skimming through the help files and help forums seeing how people accomplish different things.
