Hi those of you who haunt LLRGT will probably allready know of my project.

I have very basic demo of my space sim type game. (more info on my site forums and LLRGT forums)

basicaly it shows Wolfs Ezro ehnaced used to make my turret code (i know some of you have and are using )come to life. I'm working in the patch u58f and going back and doing lighting and alpha setting on effects .

things it has .. ships
planet(s) - one only right now LOL

working target leading for auto guns and target lead reticle

bunch of target drones to shot at for now .. an my auto turrets
joystick controls or user customisable keyboard and mouse controls.

thisis 1/10 of the whole idea i'm going for , so check out my forums when the serve is back on line and DL the demo installer and the latest patch about 9 mb all-together

oh and an earlier one .. with sound focusing on a player ship and teh active turret using orbit cam and ambient lighting set high.

any body got some band width not using the same server/host that LLRGT is using and could spare a 7.5mb install file and patch number 1 .
the exe is 3.3 mb .. but zips to 1 mb .. lol that's a good ratio.

any how the patch fixes some movement issuse and changed how i scan for keyboard use (thanks Fog).

is uppose i could span it into 8 chunks and put it in posts here LOL.

to the delight of so me of my testers i may get time to make that big arse ship move on a set of way points for itself .

and i want to get a basic menu in game working so you dont have to keep using the console; as cool as some have said the console is . it is realy just a tool . oh and som more hud bits lika a speed indicator and other infos.

attached is the current game.ini file for those who have not seen it, just to give you an idea of what you can change as a user.

hi nice game scence the middle of march ive been disining a space adventure rpg game but i havent even finished my character model which realy sucks . but still nice game prime_8!!!

This game looks extremely good!! The only problem I saw was that huge fin on the back of the ship. It obscured way too much of the screen in the vid. any chance it could be smaller?

lol huge fin is needed during trans atmopheric , later game play . this craft is kinda like a f14 tomcat.. it rushes tou for medium range support and has a crew of 2 can stay in space for about a month before returning to some thing or some planet .

DL the demo and be shure to grab the patch .. the patch makes chnaging cam mode easy (f1 to f6) yep 6 cam views ..

LOL you can enter cam modes into the console for now if you don't want to grab the patch

in the readmefirst.txt it explains :
"/player cam" is like a cockpit
"/tail cam" up behinde the tail / like 3rd person
"/orbit cam" spins arround the players current unit.
"/free cam" is a mouse look cam that don't move any thing but flys as if it where the ship. and has no controll of a ship.

those are just a the main ones .. left and right cams ofcourse ..

all made easy peasy with ezro enhanced commands.

well the site seems to be up so go DL it and have a play

be shure to turn off big ship=yes if your having speed issues. as it is a huge / high poly , and deffective .LOL just to see if DBP could take it.

oh and here is a screeny of teh thrusters that will be in the next incarnation/version of the demo.

the links to the demo uptop should work now ..
it seems that only regesterd members of my forums could see/ DL the demo

the thrusters are in the demo .. the movement is 100% local to the player ship so the ship moves on its local axis as i would in space . note that messed up the radar

the patch fixes the radar and up grades it ..
radar version one was a top down radar where it display the angle to target and distance was the distance from center but it was world axis relative.

so after remebering some stuff i used ezro (Ezro Enhanced by Wolf) to make a much faster and better radar.
the new radar is a hunter seeker type .. and actualy is part of the ai code for my hunter seeker ai.

just reworked to display it's guts LOL

the hew radar shows local x,y relative to ship/ players perspetive,, and is as free from euler gimble lock as the ship is.

simply steer towards teh dot unless it is blue .. and if it is locke ad you are on it but dont see the targeting reticle .. it is directly behinde you .. it's a small but bug but watch your auto gun for the hint as it knows best LOL

oh and it shows the early tests of the engines .. which are in the demo 1.2 and 1.25 patch .. just be shure to grab the patch .

well . got lots done .
mostly internal. the app read .ship files to load units now .

the player can pic 2 of 2 ships by changing the game.ini for now .. till menu is made.

the current download and patch bring you upto working new radar .

the next full installe rwill contain . the new models and media , and cam zoom on some of the external cams.

and all guns fire now .
oh and here is a new mixed shot .. cut down from 3 full screen cap's.
