Hi all,

I'm trying to get my website up and running, I have made a file called index.htm and uploaded it to the server and it's in the root of my space, but the web page is not showing when I go to the URL.
I reckon it must be something simple to fix. but alas, i'm clueless when it comes to webby stuff.

any help or advice would be much appreciated.

thanks, grant.

Im not sure how you got that sub-domain...

but try renaming index.htm to index.html (as different servers vary on the extension they accept)

The space was kindly donated by TGC, this was due to the hosting difficulties with my dbspot account and I had stuff I wanted to share with the community. (nothing to do with our beloved jimmehhhhhh. it was his lamer host that screwed everything up, teh jimmehhhhhh sorted him out with a good email or 20 though, and even went to the trouble of setting up a server in his house to tide things over until he found a decent host. what a guy!). As for the members.thegamecreators.com thing, I have no idea what Rich has planned and knew nothing of it until I got an email from the very man.

cheerz, grant.

PS. I still need help / advice on my problem.

lol, the number of shocked people asking how he got that subdomain outnumbers the number of helpful posts

@David T,

True David, but at least I got the answer I needed. I think it's best if the 'rituals' and 'initiations' are kept quiet. I still got feathers appearing in the strangest of places.

I doubt it. To supply hosting space to every member, would take up alot more room(which TGC is already using plenty of).
