Hi all, I made a tune about a year ago and let Manticore Night use it in his game. I don't know what his game was called or even if he finished it. anyway heres the tune.

glad you likes it.

Nice... opening is a bit slow, and the sort of synth intro needs more echo. Nice breakbeat, tho it's a bit sudden when it starts--would have more effect if you used slightly toned down drums for one cycle, then a slight pause, the synth intro thing, and then launch into the part at 0:44 or so.

So this goes on for a while, the nice heavy synth in the background, then different breakbeat, then cooldown at 3:00. Synth thing again at 3:06 or so, I really think that needs more reverb/echo to it. Oooo, deep growly vocal bit.. then another breakbeat.. some trumpets out there, then lighter breakbeat.

Cooldown again... a pause... that's a really nice deep synth you've got btw. 3:55, did that guy really say "let's see what comes next." (???) Some note-cut off filter on the high synth there, very nice wahhhhWEEEEESHHHhhhhh effect, whatever you call it. More thump'in beakbeats, then synth fadeoff, then breakbeat solo which is somewhat lacking... (breakbeats generally need something to back them up) But then the deep synth/trumpets comes back in and it's ok.

ehhhh... that's definately let's see what comes next," I just heard it again Nice effect with the trumpts/wah-wahing synth there, but then that nasty vocal again... kinda weird with "what comes next?" at the end of the song there

Overall, a nice piece of breakbeat/trance Keeps the interest going nicely, and with a 7 minute long song that's a but of an accomplishment. I'd listen to it again.

eh this is certainly not dance, drum n base hmmm yeah, but breakbeat is a bit more fitting to the song style. Techno, well yeah you have some technoy bits there with the wah-wahhing synths, but it doesn't really qualify as techno IMHO. I stick with my assesment of breakbeat/trance - breakbeat is typiclly dark and heavy, and your deep synths accomplish this nicely. Trance is simply the idea of adding and subtracting different elements from the song--this you've all done with the breakbeats, trumpet parts, deep synth thingee, and wah-wahhing tight spin leads

whatever you say m8.
i'm no expert. it's just programming in another language to me.

But thanks for the dissection, it shows that some people do actually 'hear' music, rather than just listen to it. would it be ok if I put my Aphex Twin hat on for an outing? or would the massive just not understand?

thanks, geecee3.
