Hmmmm
I'm an Eagle Scout, and I do Marching Band (we were at Macy'sin NYC this past Thanksgiving) and Jazz Band at the high school, as well as taking piano for about 9 years, just started taking lessons for accoustic guitar, and I recently began studying music theory. Movies are also good, not crummy B/C/D/F/teen movies, actual good movies, I'm lucky enough to have a dad who appreciates a nice 6.1 setup with an HD TV and THX light sconces .
My best friend plays tennis .

My sister plays the sax, I remember when she was just starting out. It's not the greatest instrument to hear in the hands of a beginner. Of course shes much better now.

Besides computers I enjoy filming, acting, composing, almost any kind of art.. but it all ties in with computers.. (my new digital video camera has a firewire port which i can transfer data from the camera to my computer.. and my piano has a USB port) so technically most of the things I enjoy doing involves computers..

Moving down here, just in time for hurricane season? Seriously if your moving down here for disney id rethink the whole thing. After about the forth time seeing out of date animatronics (stay out of the hall of presidents atrraction!) it gets dull. Never go to Epcot as its boring as heck. Another thing is that Orlando is spreading out fast. Wherever you move to in this area you'll see subdivisions in every corner (all the houses look the same). Just the other day i past a subdivsion acroos from mine with the name "Misty Woods", note thier were about 3 trees

I live in a place called "Forest Park". Although my viewpoint is I wish there wasn't a bloody forest practically in my back door. Although they do have a decent pool place (big slides and stuff) with a good forest walk place. Plus those obstacle course efforts that if I was a kid I still wouldn't go on You know 40 foot up rope slides and bridges etc. No way...

Oh, um... reading, writing, and cinima (just got a projector!!!) are probably just lower than programming and computers. Followed by cars methinks. After that just throw in a smattering of social life efforts, headed currently by visits to the conveniently nearby (10 minute walk) comedy cellar (yep, not "club", is actually a cellar). Heh, although to be truthful birds and beer head everything really And I don't mean the Bill Oddie type of birds either. Feathery ba**ards...

Cheers

I am 99% probably lying in bed right now... so don't blame me for crappy typing

Coo, It seems a lot of you have the same interests as me...

But what you call an interest I call an obsession

I alternate between My computer, My piano, My camera.

Also probably 50% of my time I pace the floors thinking of:
A new game program
A new techno/trance piece on my piano
A new script or play i could film on my camera (I've thought of quite a bit of good stuff.. it's just I dont have but 1 actor.. my sister of course)

No; I spend most of my time working on films as my job and then coding as my hobby - it's a much bigger part of my life than an interest. Luckily I can turn everything I enjoy into ways of making money and still fit in time for skating and friends

I'm making money to start making my own low budget TV show / series, which will be a sitcom-esque thing which I'll film at a "studio" I'm going to set up near where I live in a couple of years - it'll feature the Mark Paton actor / character from the Magic Watch film. ( http://www.ddrw.com )- that's going to be the first episode of the show when it's finished

I just need a few thousand pounds to invest in a property to film at (probably a house) and a Sony VX1000 camera - I've got the computer equipment already and the script for the series.

As with real indepndant TV companies, you then take the completed series and show it to potential channels such as BBC etc... (with Sky TV ever expanding, there is an ever bigger selection of potential buyers) Failing that, the internet will have expanded to allow online TV to be feasible (faster speeds etc... in a few years), which is another potential market for the series.

Who knows?

Dumbo and Cool - DEFINATELY coming July 31st.

Your name does not change in any language. For example, my name in Japanese is "David", my name in English is "David", my name in Spanish is even "David". Why would your name change? Maybe written different, but your name is still your name.

Cool, seen most of those only really got into anime end of last year. FMA along with Mai HiME are my two favourite shows. The Kenshin OVA's are amazing but the tv episodes get a bit tiresome after a while.

Ah man GT is pretty terrible in my opinion. Z gets silly with all the levels.

It's just the high school band, but it's great stuff. We just had a concert where we did an arrangement of that Miles Davis tune, Milestones.
What sort of stuff do you listen to?

@Jeku
I listened to your tracks--it's been a while since I've heard any of them. Isolation is definitely my favorite, gives you the sense of somebody reflecting on past experiences with a significant amount of time alone that they have been given, as the title would suggest.

Yep! I dated a Japanese girl and was taking the language in Uni--- my teacher gave us all names and Jeku is the closest match for Jake The funniest conversion was Daryl. Dadidu (sp?) (pronounced dah-dee-doo).

That's what I thought it would be too, but not according to my Japanese teacher. My wife (Chinese) told me my name in Chinese would be Jieke.

Because not every language has the same sounds as ours :-P Let me hear you pronounce Li Xiaoqijiang in English!

Thanks! Yes--- I wrote that one near the end of 2001 when I was having relationship trials and tribulations. Clearly one of my best and favourite songs.

At the moment I'm listening to "Kind of Blue" by Miles, I also listen to alot of Big Band Jazz stuff; Jules Holland etc...

Jazz is good morning music, System of a down is good coding music and Leftfield / Radiohead / film scores are good film work music.
