Personally, I think most rock music is incredibly idiotic and I don't even know why I'm posting.. I guess it's because this is nearly undoubtedly the most irrelevant and stupid post I've seen on this entire TGC forum.. I know this is "General talk" but it doesn't mean rate the cross-dressing singer on a 1 - 10 scale.. I'm just wondering what you're going to get out of this? Any knowledge or anything useful whatsoever?

2, because a couple songs are good. If I were a girl, I wouldn't like somebody who drops his trousers at concerts and trash-talks things I happen to believe in (Christ for example). For me being sexy is not only about looks, but also how somebody acts. I know girls at school who are in deniably hot, but I would not want to sleep with them (as being sexy would suggeset) simply because they are not nice people.

It's the same reason Madonna isn't sexy (besides the fact that she's getting old).

Righto. Completely. Brian Warner (aka Marilyn Manson) is extremely smart, and most of the things his does in public is just 'stage-play,'--it's just his style. Marilyn is only slightly a perverted freak like he acts...and there's a good reason for that. When he was 6 years old, he found a bunch of porn items in his grandfather's cellar.

I've never been a goth, or very much of a fan of goth music - but I don't mind MM, and from the interviews etc I've seen him do I reckon he's a fairly relaxed down to earth psycho like most of us here.

I don't really care about how he looks, or anyone for that matter - I mean my favourate band is Pearl Jam, and they look like a bunch of IT managers these days.

I could'nt really give him/them a score, but I'd put on any MM album before anything by the likes of 'Craddle of Filth' or 'Murderdolls'.

MM is.. ok

I like some of his music, and he does have a refreshing style (not pop crap, or 'stereotypical' rock music) yet the way he comes across in his video's and on stage is a bit.... 'weird'. But Im OK with that; he's an interesting person who makes interesting music

So I'll have to give him 5 - half and half (just the opinion in relation to him, not how sexy he is)

That's really civilized of you..

You might have green hair and you might pierce your nipples and you might even worship the devil.. but I'm just fine with that I guess those are "cool" qualities these days...

I take back what I said about them being "civilized as monkeys" because that I really don't know about them because I've never really got time to know one of these "gothik" folk or whatever you call them...

They aren't informed in the slightest and aren't based on music at all, they're just warped images of what fashions and activities some 'heavy metal' or 'goth' fans might participate in.

Quite true. The thing that might be hard about it is that people don't want to accept Marilyn Manson's unique style. Some people don't even like rock music!
Flames are fun, but only really to the people that are involved with them. I don't purposefully put any flames out here, and so the other poster's flames really annoy me.
I've done this question before on other forums (including the largest Marilyn Manson forum online) and I got the same responses. Marilyn Manson this, Marilyn Manson that...but on MMDN they were mostly positive.

I've heard this too...I think there are so many rumors about this that the only people that know are himself and his band...
And it was only the bottom two ribs. It's necessary to get them removed to bend that far (that's a fact), but I think he got them removed for a different reason. Disease, or something of that nature.
