Hi everyone, i've had a look at this expansion pack for darkbasic, and just wondered what ppl thought of it who have actually bought it and used it. Is it as impressive as it sounds and how easy is it to make a smoke and fire effects. Anyone got any screens of examples they have created using this pack. Thanks guys!

I created about 10 different tests that were geared towards a rpg type game. flags spiderwebs bridges flames etc.. if thats an indication then i dont know what is

thanks guys for the info, it sounds great, reading some threads on it there was a bug in positioning the particles but this is solved by calling the position command each loop, just wondered if there were any other serious bugs with it, cheers

All of the bugs seem to be ironed out, except for 2...

1. Positioning is lost, as you have seen. Should be fixed in next release

2. Rotation only works when first creating emitters. I will be piosting some sample code in bug reports at some point.

You can make simple effects very easily. There are about 12 examples that make good starting-points. I'm putting together a showcase of some other, more complex stuff at the moment.

I love particles, I even use them in 2D apps, the following game has up to 800 particles on-screen at any time...
