My team and I have been developing TCG game for over 4 months now.We got idea about it after we played game called Astral Tournament(www.astraltournament.com)Its a game where you have cards and basically you fight with an opponent. But in our game your creatures move on 4X5 game board. It adds a whole new dimension to the game. This is in no way a copy of Astral tournament, we have our own ideas for creatures, abilities etc.Only problem is that we have three people who can draw but neither can paint. So I am asking here for help.Is there anybody who could take these drawings into photoshop or something similar or print them and paint them manualy we would be very gratefull. We come from poor country(Bosnia) so now we cant pay you.You can find exe file and drawings at [/href]http://www.geocities.com/perokreco[/href]
You can also post your thoughts about the game here.If you are interested contact me at my mail address.(You can click button called EMAIL below the text)Thank you very much for reading this.

I can probably help you out.. I've got limited time to spend on each card though.. but I think the result should be decent at least.

Contact me on MSN, if you'd like to talk more

1)What is the pixel size (width, height) of the cards?
2)Will you be using a border around the card?
3)What is the pixel size (width, height) of the picture?
4)What format do you need the pictures in?
5)Any limit on the color depth (number of colors used)?
6)Do any of those pictures need to be a certain color? (like the dragon for instance, it would be kind of pointless to color it black only to find out it's name is Gold Dragon etc...)

Lastly, Please be sure to mark off pictures that have already been done.

If you answer these questions, I will draw some of the images in my spare time. I will start with that flying dragon

Perokreco,

Thanks for the answers. What I meant about the pictur size was. Does the picture take up the entire card (100x100) or only the top portion.
If only the top portion... how big does the actual picture need to be ie 50x100, 60x90 (room for border), 40x90 etc...

For example. If you are familiar with "Magic the Gathering" the picture for the cards is in the upper half, leaving room for text and card description. A border surrounds the image, and leaves room for markings such as mana cost etc...

Zen

alright, in that case.. I'm doing the tauren.

I just relized with a size of 100x100 my image is fairly overdetailed. I hope the over all propotions hold up then.. I might as well post the image here when its done.. make this a wip.. and with more artists working on the cards.. this thread might become quite interesting after a while.

I'll post the tauren in an hour or so

Didint turn out quite the way I hoped.. but I wanted to finish it before I went to bed.. so I kinda rushed it a bit. I can probably not spend more then a few hours per card though.

Anyway here it is:.
He kinda seems to be cold though.. no wonder.. not a lot of fur on him.. and he's located in a cave.. I would probably be cold too.

nice work mate, fortreffelig, utmerket

If no-one gives your an answer to a question you have asked, consider:- Is your question clear.- Did you ask nicely.- Are you showing any effort to solve the problem yourself

well, ehm, thanks.. even though when looking at it now I should have worked a lot more on it.. but sinse it will be scaled down anyway.. I dont see the need.

There is something that doest quite add up though indi.
fortreffelig og utmerket er godt noe jeg kunne ha brukt til å beskrive en ting som jeg syntes så bra ut, som betyr at kanskje du ble lei av det kalde nord og flyttet sørover, langt sørover

I appologize to everyone who didnt quite get that part

Are you sure? 100x150 or 100x200 as Zen suggested would look more 'card-like' (traditional cards at least)

Only way that they would fit is 100X100(remember that game is played on 4X5 board)Also i think they look better on the board if they are squares and look more modern.

Thanks for your email, I wasnt able to reply from where I am however.
as for your question: I wish there was a website or any books I could tell you to buy.. but its really all down to practice.. working in it all the time basicly. I am glad you found inspiration and thats actually where most of your learning will start most likely. I'm at work for the moment.. but when I get home some time tomorrow.. I can post a few books that might speed up learning perhaps.. but even with book.. you need to get it into your fingers.. and start to think a bit differently.

I see you've added me to MSN, so I can probably speak with you later there if you wanto.

Till then, Laters
