For University i have got to make a game in DB. We have come up with an idea of a crazy golf game. Do people think this is easy enough to make as we have never used DB b4??

Do you know BASIC?

Am I a butterfly dreaming I'm a man?
Or a bowling ball dreaming I'm a plate of samishi?

It wouldnt be that hard... yould have to build a course creator and stuff, thats not that difficult... yould have to make your models and things but that shouldnt be too hard either. There is no plot so that simplifies it a LOT... yeah, id say it sounds pretty easy. The hard part would be getting the physics right, golf involves a lot of flying and hitting and bouncing and rolling... thats where you'ld run into the most trouble im thinking.

good luck!

Crazy Golf... which is Mini Golf in the states

it'd be a bitch to create... but possible (^_^)
i'd start with something simpler, suchas bowling and then work upto the Crazy Golf

ohhhhhhhhhhhh

lol darn language barrier... we're both talking english but we're not speaking the same language!

that WOULD be hard to create... there are even more physics involved... dat'd be tough, man, real tough...

its almost a pong 3d with gravity and loops...

The difficulty would depend on what you put into the game - at it's basic level, a ball being knocked around a flat, pretty simple, level, would be easy to make. However, as you begin to make sloped floors and curved walls, then things begin to get harder.

DB being used at Uni now?

See the snippets section, I've posted some code on ball collision testing and I also have some code on ball collision reaction though I don't currently have anything written to handle friction and gravity it shouldn't be too difficult.

give me a yell if you want the ball reaction code.
