Geek Culture / FX Composer won't boot

I have downloaded and installed NVidia's FX Composer 1.7, but it won't boot. It keeps saying it cannot load stdplugins.xml. I've checked if they were there and if they could be accesed. Both were the case. Anyone has/had the same problem and knows how to solve it? Reinstalling won't work either btw. Please help.

perhaps you didn't install MSXML? it's required
