Just wondering what you think of this:

http://81.86.119.64/public/map/index.php

It's being hosted off my pc so it'll only available this evening, and may be a bit slow.

I've halved the detail to make it load faster.

Will probably work any broadband connection, 56kers may experience a little lag.

Try to ummm and aww along the way, it's already preloading what you're about to see next

Now the controversial bit:

- works fine in IE

- displays fine in mozilla, buttons don't work for some reason (must be calling an iframe's function as iframename.function()?)

- works fine in opera but buttons don't display (no idea why not, just a div positioned absolutely)

Some eye candy:

Could take a while from canada. It's a satellite image of the world. I did have it at much higher res although it took too long to load.
