yeah my new young gf has got me hooked on a few new and old bands.

The Faint , Bloc Party , Interpol, Mclusky , Le Tigre ,nuetral milk hotel and the go team have one good song.

apparantly this new genre is electro clash, sort of punk / electronica / indie style, the faint is my favorite so far

I Dissapear and hospital by the faint are wicked tracks.

the sound, the stills, the strokes, snow patrol, the sounds, bis, guster, good stuff

Also, I hope you are aware of The Cure / Joy Division / New Order. They were big influences on these guys.

Anyways if you want I'd still love to talk music

You said "The Sound" twice, and is "Good Stuff" a band name or a comment?

Ladytron's pretty good but they go more into the "electro" side versus the "clash" side. Interpol is amazing. I think they are easily one of best bands out now (I even saw them live in concert which was great). The Faint are great ("Agenda Suicide" is at the top of my playlist right now) as are The Killers if you want more of a pop sounding group. Snow Patrol is pretty good but I haven't heard that much by them.

Already a load of good bands mentioned here but I'll add The Bravery.....and maybe worth checking out some of Garbage's older stuff (in particular their self named debut)

Totally different but highly recommended is my favourite album of the last year, The Dears - No Cities Left.

Kaiser chiefs are bad. Garbage is good.

Actually "The Sound" is from the 80's and "The sounds" are a new band. And good stuff was a comment, sorry

I'm glad you like The Stills, they are my favorite band. I have met their bassist and keep in touch with him by email

Snow Patrol are good ,saw them supporting Grandaddy at the start of last year. Saw Bis once as well cant remember who they were supporting (might have been Teenage Fanclub) wasnt that impressed maybe their albums are better.

bis is fantastic. They are, in my opinion, the perfect blend of punk and dance. The punk was stronger in the beggining, and then the dance took over but it was great dance music!

Sorry, I don't know anything about electro clash, I just thought that was funny. I suppose I'll go check some of these guys out now.
