Yeah I don't have a pic, as I am reading the article from the printed mag and haven't scanned it.

I know it's just a mini-game tech demo. But still, rag doll bowling; c'mon you don't just think of that everyday.

I bet Rich has his bot sending all of our "world shattering"/"Ground Breaking" Ideas to development houses. Watch you'll see.

I'm sure that someone already thought of "RagDoll monkey bowling" or "Tomoato avalanche simulator".

Downloading a demo of it btw. Should be cool.

Someday there should be a game propelled completly by advanced physics AND destructible environments. And I don't mean the ability to knock over a steet sign or blow up a barrel. I mean being able to blow out/rip the foundations of a building and watching it collapse. Or blowing a crater in the ground and watching the cement/rock/bits of dirt fly everywhere and affect it's surroundings. How about some REAL gravity too?

And please, no god damn scripted events.

Flatouts been out for ages, in fact I remember 'The Masked Coder' directing us to a demo link before Walaber made monkey bowling. It's a pretty cool game, quite unlike other racing games, like you can smash into a fence and end up with a pole sticking out your front window, rattling about. The physics are great, but I find monkey bowling is more fun than the mini games in Flatout, the real fun is in racing and destruction derby.

Red faction? It had limited destructible terrain but don't think it had any real physics. You could remove all the ground under the glass house and it would just hover in mid air. Also massive chunks of earth could be supported by tiny connections to other chunks of earth similar to the terrain in worms.

In the July issue of egm there is a 3 page look at a new EA game called Black for the ps2/xbox that is supposed to have this however you'll have to wait until 2006 to see if it even comes close.

I loved the level in Red Faction where it's like 2 narrow structures at each side, with about 4 levels each and each level has a different weapon. I used to use the rocket launcher to tunnel my way into the mountain, then the special xray gun when hiding in my burrow . It often takes the enemy ages to find you, and it is the worlds worst example of camping, but I don't really care .

Hehe, yeah, I noticed in Unreal Championship2 how the bots accuse you of camping, you can even use camping fire to stop people camping too much. There's little point in camping in that though - enemies are hard enough to seek out never mind waiting on them finding you . I find that kinda strange though, they've made it quite tricky to hide and snipe enemies, but at the same time made it possible to get anywhere on the levels!. The most annoying thing in that is how there's the invisible ceiling, even though it usually appears that you can get higher up.
