Here's the first character for our JetPac re-make for the Retro competition.

I have a few more to make yet.... but there's plenty of time. I'll be sending it off to Van-B tonight, then he's little fingers will get cracking away on the code !!

Anyways.. here he is

I like this! A big, round belly and an American flag - how fitting...

Very good model and skin! This competition should produce some interesting games.

The polycount isn't really important, cos with this game it's not going to be that poly intencive on screen. So I could double the polycount and get a smoother model.

But this character is 2400... and Rendered using Max

here's the first Rocket ship finished.

It has an inside compartment as well, which will be fully kitted out.

Here's a wormy thingy-ma-jig !! Just one of the enemies in the game.

The only way to kill this one is to fry him with your thrusters

It looks cool, especially the cartoony looks. Also, I must compliment on the textures, they're sweet!

Thanks !

The belly of the worm is a UVmapping error ( texture stretching ) ..... but I used it to my advantage.

I'll stick some more enemies on here later.

theres actually a few more errors in it, not so obvious.
thou its probably not gonna be large enough or slow enough for you to notice them so no point in pointing them out really.

some interesting graphics turning up as of late

Actually there's NOT ... but if you think there are ( and are not just saying that to try and wind me up ) then by all means point them out veggie ?

The belly area is the only UV error.... and before you say the mesh, there isn't any errors in that either.

Maybe I'll pop over to your farm yardy thing and point out all the errors in your models.. whach ya think ??

your game looks good but it doesent look like a game you
would find today its more of a game you would get back in 1995. you have a good talint and i think if you made a game, one of today, it would be very good.

The game is a re-make of JETPAC, made 20yrs ago.

This game is for the RETRO competition, which is to re-make an old game and bring it upto date.
