I have just downloaded some custom fonts and I would like to know how to use them.
I have tried using the text example in the help files and replaced the Set Text Font "Book" with my font but nothing happens.
How do I load and use the custom fonts??. Please

If the fonts do not come with a installer program, you could manually copy or cut/paste them to the Fonts folder under the Windows folder.

If they are zipped, redirect the path to the Fonts folder instead of the unzipped folder.

This way the fonts will be available for all programs you have that use fonts.

The New fonts are in .BMP Format.
Widows/Fonts won't accept them.
How do I convert them to the right format? .OLd Wrinkly

Is there only one .bmp? Like, all the characters are drawn inside one .bmp file?

If so, you need to "cut" them out with mspaint, or with programming code (get image in darkbasic), and use them that way.

There is no way windows can import .bmp files.

OK Thanks Emperor Baal. Will do it that way.
Could do with a program to replace the text fonts with the image or sprite fonts. Old Wrinkly

check out the download about half way down this thread. it's the little pink button on a post by me. it's for a scroller in 3d, but it can be stripped apart and used as sprite code very easily.

still working on program for bitmap fonts.
I know "if inkey$()=" a or whatever"
I know "If Leftkey()=1"etc etc.
But I cant find a command for the Backspace key.
So can anyone give me the commands for detecting all the keys, or tell me how to get them. Please. Old wrinkly.
