Hello,

Lately ive been working on my game, Mayor but have run into quite a rut. My moddeling skills aren't the best which is why I am asking of assistance. First off here is information of the game:

Name: Mayor
Style: RTS-Stragedy
Time in development: About 2 months
Release date: Not yet determined
Point of Game:
You, the mayor, must build your city from the ground up. Weather you want to have a small country town or a thriving urban metropilos, its up to you!

Screenshots:

What I need:

Im looking for anyone who is willing to model buildings. Most needed right now is power plants. Also needed are things like stop signs, powelines ,etc.

List off poweplants needed:

coal power
windmill(preferred animated)
fusion power(Scientific, No?)
nuclear power (fission, not fusion)
core power (gets energy from the lava underground, a futuristic feel)

power plants can look however you feel they should, as long as its not a powerplant that looks like a chuckie cheese kids place or something.

In return:
Now I cant offer much in return but i will mention you in the credits and give you beta tests(will be closed testing) and the game for no charge.

contact:
If your intrested, post here, from ther ill give you my email (dont want to put it here if no one responds)

Thank you for taking the time to read this post,

Jase

*looks for a padlock* While this does show progress, team requests aren't allowed... Whether the mods will agree or not is up in the air. And why did you start a new topic? Anyone that would be interested in the project would be regularly viewing your other thread...

My point is that he shouldn't have done it by opening a new thread. A waste of space and knocking away someone else's work.

Nonsense Scaleru. Proper team requests are important and need to be seen by as many people as possiable, not hidden away on page x of topic z somewhere. I may as well say omgz why did j00 reply to this thread againz! u should of ed1ted ur other p0stor1!1!

bleh. If this team request gets locked I will be post disapointed. I belived these rules were setup because of the flood of stupid requests we got and kids requesting pretty much an entire programming house for their game which was nothing but 2 sentances of story at best. Mostly these rules seem to be waivered for properly put together team requests which are legitimate and not wasting everyones time.

Personally im annoyed they ever got rid of the TR forum. If someone made a stupid request you ignored it and it fell to the bottom.. at least, thats what should of happened. But forum dwellers are on the whole anal and you all waste your time telling people they have wasted their time (which is just stupid) and now someone replies to even legitimate TR's telling them they are going to be locked. Its just -so- damn stupid -_-

Looks fine from here. Just needs a few models doing. Hey, I could do with some modellers too

Facts are meaningless.
You could use facts to prove anything that's even remotely true.

I did this real quick, and did not texture it. (I can). Sorry. If you like this Nuclear Power plant, I can make it better. It is a bit high in poly counts, but I will fix it.

Ok, thank you for the responsed, I must say im decently suprised. Seeing how people have responded you can email me at

As for the scale I really dont care, it can be scaled down later but it would be nice if the base of the model was a square so it could be 5 by 5 tiles large in the game.

@Jr noober

I like the way its formed, looks good, though it does look at little high poly, you said you could fix that so thank you i would love to put that in my game. Also the bottom should stick out like the top.

Any one else who has offered thier assistance, i thank you, please email or post i picture here of the model which you create.

thanks.

I'd personaly make the stacks look a little more like stacks from a nuclear power station...they taper in at the top....theres plenty of source material out there... check google.

Heres one to get you started.

That's my consept for the Core Power Plant. If you like it, I can model it in my spare time. It would be low poly, and if you want you could make a very, very, very low random chance that the lava would acidentaly burst through the top and level your city.

If you want to make another solar, maybe a tower in the center which focusses the lght to the center of a field where the panels are. Like this horrible 1 minute drawing!

Hey Stalker, very nice
Probably too high poly, I would think...

Ditch about half of the solar pannels perhaps?

Yeah but cant get it to attach. It is 1000 faces. If thats too much I could probably get it down to 800. Ill have another crach at uploading it later, coz I have to go for a few days.
