I have used a command before that i think is not in the docs, it basically draws text to the screen over the position of a 3d object. In other words when a 3d object is in view the text draws upon its center. something like the other text commands:

any ideas what this command is? i grabbed it from someones demo and i knew i should of noted it down, i wanna use it now!

I think what your looking for is:

x = Object Screen X(obj)
y = Object Screen Y(obj)
Text x, y, "3D Object"
