Ummm... is it safe to click? I usually don't click something like this unless I have some assurance of sorts.

Pretty interesting. That porsche either:

A) has a totally non existent low end gears
B) had a crappy driver
C) Was rigged
or D) That fiat took off so fast that it made it looked rigged

Still pretty funny none the less.

Nope, the Porsche was going pretty well. Basically you can rig anything to go faster than pretty much anything around by adding *loads* of extras (not just Barryboy bonnet intakes and massive exhausts when you don't need them for a 1.0litre Nova). Although you would have to have nerves of steel to do it in a Fiat (bag of sh*te basically) as you would suspect it would fall apart and shove you into the wall at any minute. It is a straight line though, so hardly real world conditions (won't keep up with mine on the back roads for instance - even if he has any nitrous left).

Ever see the Top gear show where they took top supercars from around the world (Ferrari type level) and raced them on an airstrip? Can't remember what came second (some £200k effort), but the Top Gear Jaguar won it by quite a margin. Jaguars are really crap by comparison by the way, and this was a clapped out 20 year old effort. But it was stripped almost to nothing, and had a nitros kit bolted on.

But the main thing to remember is it's a Fiat (probably only 5% after refit, but still..). Shudder... Know which one I'd rather be in.

BTW, I once saw a milk float on the web that was faster to 60 than my Scooby (pretty fast car). Not to 100 mind you, thing was geared just to get it to 60 as fast as possible. Like to see it keep up on the corners though

Cheers

I am 99% probably lying in bed right now... so don't blame me for crappy typing

That was the thing... looks like that if that drag was just a bit longer the porsche coulda had that speedy junker

It was pretty close at the end... or so it looked.

You see how high off the ground that Fiat was?
heh, that is so a custom job; especially given how you heard the engine from so far away like that.

I'm trying to think what engine that was though, I mean it sounds like a nitro V8; but can't think of the make. There was a lot more screaming than growling comming from it, so I think it's definately an american engine.

Be cool to see how much space was left in that thing.
