Well i have some spare time on my hands so i'll help.

I'll have to ask some questions first before i start.
Please anwser them all because this will realy help.

>What kind of db do you own?(dbc, dbc enhanced or dbp)

>Have you yet written your first program?

>Have you completely read through the db help menu?

>Have you learned movment commands?

>How much would you say have you learned of the db language?(c++)

Thats all

Also please dont make a joke every line no offence but it makes you u sound like a dick.sry.

Thanx

Please don't write stuff like that. No offense, but it makes you sound like a dick. Sorry.

It typically helps to have a goal in mind--make sure it is a reasonable goal (read: small), even if it is a small goal that builds to a larger goal. You will find yourself thinking of ways to handle tasks, and you will find yourself sorting through the help files and the forum looking for how things can work together.

The book is a great starting place to learn concepts, but soon you will need to move past it and begin doing your own research. Usually by this time you will grasp the basic principles of programming. Your time is then spent learning the intricacies of your particular language or toolset of choice, in this case DB.

Okay, that will do.

First of all the create cube command is actually create object cube and then you add texture and shape 1,1.

But that command doesnt just make a cube you could change it to sphere or cone or any other primary shape by replacing the shape word(cube).

and so far good on your replys

a good place to start is with a simple camera movement program
i.e. one that can turn and move forward / back etc.
this doesn't even take more then about 5 lines of code but will be really useful for later projects.
you could also try moving an object around.

then you could combine both to make an object that moves around 3d space while not actually leaving the screen.

commands such as -
move object #1,#2
`where #1 is the object number and #2 is how far it moves
`move camera #2 also works

turn camera left #
`where # is the rotation value (this can also be right instead of left)

The revenge,

I strongly agree with Nathan Krygier. Why, if you have a fully loaded 716 page book, that you have not yet read, would you ask for tips? A little wisdom would say that you should read the book first.
