Hey can any1 tell me what a sprite is? is it a mythical pixie type - thing? (well, maybe that's being too sarcastic, but...)

it is an image that you load into dark basic once you have loaded it you need to make it into a sprite. so a sprite is just an image but there is more things you can do with one e.g. you can see if it have hit another sprite and you can move the sprite useing move sprite.

Well, first a Sprite is a really good lemon lime soda drink, but the kind I think you mean is a kind of photo picture that has the ability to blit...move fast and do stuff that normal pictures couldn't do.

yea i sprite is like a picture on steroids
they have all the good stuff such as collision, rotation, ect and being very easily controled under a 3-d enviroment, unlike a normal picture

Hey Gillypie! Um... well, I wasn't going to move onto sprites, It's just that , reading thru the website, It cropped up quite a few times. I decided to enter the forums to find out what one was.
