A Super Star Trek port to DBP.

I found a copy of David Ahl's version, which he published in his books, on the net. Turns out, it was easier to port it over to DBP than to Microsoft's QuickBasic or VB.

I tried to stay true to his format. I wanted to understand his version before I started asserting my opinions into the code. I changed the Galactic Map over to arrays. Rearranged the Main Loop to make it more modular. And the Kilngon ships move after 5 of your "actions".

I did have to change the way the ship moves from sector to sector. I had some difficulty in making the making the code work (I probably deleted some line of old code and didn't know it), so I added a "WARP" command that moves the ship between Quandrants.

I figure if I do anymore coding with it, I'm going to re-engineer it completely. Maybe add the ability to change crew names so it not always Kirk and his gang. So much can be done with it.

I posted the source and binaries up to the web for all to play with.

By the way everyone, this is a text based game with text graphics within.

Not too shabby.

@GogetaX ; Stop constantly advertising. Why don't you set up your own thread?

@GogetaX

Yeah, I agree with the others, that was advertising. I was expecting a spaceship game screenshot. That might have been ok.

enough flaming, we got Klingons to kill.

I posted a binary only zip file just in case you want others to play with it. No need to send the source code if they dont have darkbasic.
