When you live in england, that kind of weather never surprises you.

I don't suffer from insanity - I enjoy every minute of it!

What, *snow* in June? Perhaps once every 20 years. Won't mention the rain though...

Cheers

I am 99% probably lying in bed right now... so don't blame me for crappy typing

I live in the desert--I love rain, it is my savior.

You californians are lucky, it's still hotter than hell and drier than senior citizens over here.

I love rain, and I live in Vancouver--- a close competitor to UK's dreary weather :-P

I'm the only one I know who doesn't like sunshine and prefers overcast and rain. Actually makes me happy when I see stormclouds coming on my days off. Bizarre.

We don't have dreary weather.. it's Seasonally Depressed. ^_^
I'd bet big money the guy who came up with the term 'mother nature' must've lived here though.

I mean remember about 10years ago; no might be more. I was still in high school, and in a single day.. middle of Summer the morning was boiling hot, it snowed for an hour, then was hot again before pissing it down like a monsoon.

Typically had Sports last 2 periods of the day.. so was totally soaked, and muddy. Still is one of the more bizarre days I recall.

There are a few others, like just a matter of a month or so ago when it was a nice 25c outside and started hailing sodding blocks of ice as big as ice-cubes. You get that whole damp humidity that you'd get in a raind forest or something. Some day the weather here is just surreal.

Most of the time though it just kinda flicks between Sunny, Windy or Raining. Los Angelos was a horrible place to live, well when your taking the move from British winter to LA winter.

30c nights are not exactly what you'd expect in the winter months.
Didn't often rain or snow... don't remember seeing snow once while I was there actually, but when it did rain; it did it proper style.

Quakes are definately interesting. Remember 2 during my time there, they were very minor and I didn't actually realise right away what they were. I mean it's not something you understand what's going on when it's happening if you've never experience or really ever heard of them before. It feels alot like; I dunno, like when your on an Icey path in your normal shoes and everything seems like it's kinda slippery but you have your balance.

It is something though... that when it's raining you get sick of it happening so often; but when it's not you feel kinda like the weather is too hot because your used to it being quite damp and chilly. Always felt like that with Summers, and LA was definately like an extension of that to almost everyday.

So needless to say when I cam back this place felt like a freezer

I will never live where it snows and sticks. If it starts doing that here, I am moving to a tropical island or something. I do love the rain though.

Boarder/skii'er .

I live in Illinois, we expect that type of weather .

Like in Cali awhile back...people were all worried about this "Tsunami"
and when it finally came it was about an inch tall .

And I thought Ohio was the only state that got weird weather year round. We had snow in late May.

You can stand outside in the rain with minimal clothes on. Ever tried that with snow? I just hate snow. You can't drive safely in snow or do much else except ski and snow board. Which is not worth it to me. I wish it would rain and be 82 deg F all the time.

my brother does that... shorts and a t-shirt.
never catch me doing that; that said probably never catch me with that little clothes on ^_^

never saw the fascination with when guys walk around without a shirt ont; but they always carry it around tucked into thier jeans or something. i mean i s'pose in the park that's kinda alright, but last things i wanna see while having a nice cuppa in Nero is some pastey white freak who thinks he looks good. Buy some summer clothes and stop assaulting peoples eyes!

Depends on the weather. Sounds daft but when it's bitterly cold, windy and raining for a week almost non-stop you get sick of it. In the Summer months though it's often quite warm so you have a tropics rain which is nice and refreshing.

Something I don't like is when it flicks from one to the other.

Same here. I'd much rather prefer sitting at my computer with my furry cat with rain pounding on my window then bright sunlight and humidity.

Hehe I learned to drive in the snow---- I had my roadtest in the snow---- even did a fishtail during the road test and almost failed :-P I think it depends on what you're used to. If you live anywhere where it snows 8 months out of the year (like I did, in Fort St. John, B.C.), you get used to it pretty damn fast. It sucks wearing longjohns under your pants, though.

I remember some friends had to leave their cars running ALL NIGHT just so they wouldn't crack the engine starting it up in the -50 celcius conditions mornings
