I know this is a noob question but, how many objects can dbpro handle at a max. Is it limited to 65535 polys per model? It won't seem to work with more than that. EX:
This works:
make object sphere 1,1,127,255
This doesn't:
make object sphere 1,1,128,255

It is no longer limited to that but it is limited to 65535 polys per limb. Since sphere's are single limbed objects then they are limited to 65535 polys.

What about number of objects on screen ? although a few thousand objects is enough for what I'm doing.

The number of objects on the screen depends on way too many variables to guess. It all comes down to the complexity of the models, texture size, computer hardware, and your culling routines used if any.
