I've only had dark basic a couple of days and i've got a problem with .x files exported from cart shop.

I can load them in, move with the mouse, jump and strafe but the level looks nothing like it does in the shop.

I got big seams and wobbly corners! Why?

Someone give us a hand.

Cheers.

i have a similar paroblem, the level loads but the whole thing is grey/black and you can see the outlines of the objects.
I have loaded all the files that contain the textures into the same folder as the program and the .x file.
I have not written anything special into the code apart from load level1.x (basic stuff)

have you loaded the "level_lm.x" file?
and ghost object on n,1 this will make it darkened.

I find it is on edges of all objects. If i make a room, four wall etc, i have to make sure the edges dont but upto each other, so there's a hollow behind it. No edges then but totally impractical.

there is a forum at www.leadwerks/cshop/forum where the author hangs out maybe some info there

cheers

Yes, if you've loaded the lightmap then be sure to ghost the lightmap object.

then again if you remove the lightmap file and do without it then no more black seams. But it looks boring. anyone got an idea how to sort this?

Did you put the textures in the same folder as the level?
