I've had the fpsc for some time now. Read the manual etc and made some nice games using all the ready made stuff. Now I’d like to get my hands dirty! But if possible I'd like to use an all in one tool that can make ski, ground, 3d animation, objects, and people etc basically can handle it all if possible. Of course I will pay if needed but what software do people recommend?
I'd like an easy to use software because I'm a beginner but with plenty of power because I can learn and in time will become better.
I'd like to find a tool that can support all fpsc file formats.
I've looked at:
Truespace
http://www.pcplus.co.uk

ANIM8OR
http://www.anim8or.com

3D Canvas
www.amabilis.com

Milkshape.
http://www.swissquake.ch/chumbalum-soft/ms3d/download.html

A nice 3d modeling program here.

AC3D
http://www.ac3d.org

And this one:
http://www.delgine.com

Anyway what do others recommend?
Look forward to your reply.

Thanks for the link. When you say Game space you mean this one http://gamespace.thegamecreators.com/ ?? But I couldn't find the free version and the full version is just a bit above my price range.
I think I'd be happy to pay up too about $60 or $70. I like the look of Cartography Shop as a world builder: http://cartographyshop.thegamecreators.com/ But can I make good sky with it? But then I need a tool to make Characters.
Anyway thanks for your help!! I will think about Cartography Shop it looks good!

Take care!

no! you dont need to pay anything for a great modeler.

www.blender3d.org

go there, download blender...its freeware.

i have to say, i have 3ds max, milck shape, cartography shop and blender, and out of all of these...i think blender is the best. and above all, its free!!!

its amazing, the rendering and animation capabilities exeed most prtograms. if you dont want to model with it, atleast check it out.

I am really BULLSHOCK, but my profile got deleted...really, i'm telling the truth!

Many use lightwave, and many use 3dsmax or other. The fact is, Modeling unfortunatley dosen't consist of click drag, and it's there and working. So what I did, was read, just like I read that 700 some odd page book, entitled "Beginners Guide To Dark Basic". I also found that www.3dbuzz.com has many real life video's to watch and learn to make lightwave, and 3ds max models. If you followed that site on a monday, and every day until saturday, sunday you could make your own easy models. Nothing to complex. Have fun with it. And patienece is a virtue.

I use Luxology's Modo...Mainly because they gave it to me and now I'm creating educational material for them!

Can you believe that!
