I've decided that i was to try and learn DarkBasic Professional, but as i am a complete newbie, i firstly need a little help.

I heard that DarkBasic Pro has alot or some programs which you can use in correlation with it. I'm wondering if anyone could tell me these programs and what they do?

Thanks

For starters, there is a program called 'Milkshape', this is all u will need for 3d modelling and animation! (until u write games for a living)

@RPGamer - I guess it would be animation and 3d modelling, like Kale mentioned. So, DarkBasic Pro and animation/3d modelling software would be a good start?

---------------

@Kale - Milkshape rings a bell, is it freeware or do you have to pay for it? If so, do you know how much?

milkshape isn't a freeware
you can download a full version and use it 30 days ; after that you have to buy it.
it cost $20, but it is very easy to use.

I heard that there's a free programm, Gmax. I downloaded it, but I don't know how export the files in 3ds. It are only in .gmax... But I'm sure that it is possible, if you want to download it, look for a plug-in, I'm sure that it exist

I'm following John, but I'm not john.
Lol, it is funnier in french

Gmax is free, but you have to pay a 50,000 dollar liscense fee per commercial game you release. Try also wings 3d (www.wings3d.com) which is also a free modeller. Of course, I will always suggest milkshape

whoa $50,000. I guess it's ok if your game sells bucket-loads, but i don't think there's a market for Pong anymore

Well, i'll check out Amnim80r, Wings 3d and milkshape.
