When I try to run the advanced terrain example it just quits silently?

Why?

I have the 5.7 update for it installed and I have tried re-installing advanced terrain...


AMD 64 3000 + 512mb RAM + 80GB HD + Radeon 9600se 128mb

Other people seem to have Advanced Terrain working with 5.8?

First of all, be patient!
You've given us less than 10 mins to reply before you bump it!

Anyways, on topic. I have managed to get advanced terrain to work fine with 5.8 with only a few unrelated problems.

I can only think that you have failed to install something or another. IIRC, there's an executable installer that installs the pack itself and then there's the updated dll? Have you installed both of these?

I am using 5.8... I mean the Update 5.7 for advanced terrain, And im not aware that there is a 5.8 terrain update?

I'm running 5.8 and get the weird error 6 when I try to run the Adv. Terr. example 1. It used to run OK under 5.7. Can you enlighten us?

[Edit: Actually, I can enlighten "us" myself! I accidentally saved over the original Example 1 code some time ago using a different heightmap. Only just remembered! Have now reinstated the original heightmap name and it works fine under 5.8 now.]
