When would you ever need a network so fast?
100 Mbps is 25x faster than any internet connection available to home customers (in UK) - only people who really need gigabit networks are companies with 1000+ machines, with that number it's obviously gonna go slow at 100 Mbits...
The thought of a home lan running at 1000 Mbits is a nice thought, but not essential...
if you're gonna buy it though, buy 2... no point in buying something that fast if it can't communicate with any other machines at that speed, they'll all be limited to the standard 100 Mbits
