i heard a few people say that you can use an xbox controller with your computer. If its possitble how do you do it and how well does it work?

it uses the same wiring as a USB cable.

So get CUTTIN

Or you can order an adapter.

it's WAY easy to make your own.
just a bit of cutting and soldering at the most, and you can download drivers for it for free...simple as cheese

Wow that helps allot but can you do that with the cable that connects the actual controller with the xbox (the short one)? Im just asking because I dont want to waste an actual controller in case I screw up or something. It sounds like its much cheaper to buy one of those cables then the controller.

i want an xbox controller on my pc because its just easier to play some games with a game controller and i dont want to pay 50$ for a good pc controller. The ones that are not expensive, i always find some very annoying flaw so i decided to give up and try this xbox thing.
