Well, my problem wasn't there before and it came all of a sudden, when I did add a new background image. the displayed quality of all backgrounds decreased, even those who were good before.

On the following picture, you can see the .png file at the left and the screenshot at the right.

Mind the glow around the star.

So here are my questions :
- Why ?
- How can I fix that ?

you just need to set the resolution higher... Its to do with the color depth... You have it set at 16

try something like this at the top of your code:





AMD 64 3000 + 512mb RAM + 80GB HD + Radeon 9600se 128mb

It didn't before at one stage? I gues it has to do with certain codes that do more than you think. For example the "set display mode" code shows the mouse agian (putting "hide mouse" after this code will fix this).

Note: correct me if I'm wrong

Well, that's it : it didn't do it before. The only thing I did change was to put another image in it
